Holy Grail Burgers began as a simple idea: to merge our favorite burgers and elevate them with our own twist. To make the kind of burger you can’t forget, the kind of burger we love. From a bacon cheeseburger deluxe to a peanut butter and jelly burger, all tied together with our homemade Holy Grail Sauce and its umami kick, we fired up the grill every weekend in our backyard and cooked for neighbors, friends, and family. The rest, as they say, its history.

In 2022, we started mass messaging everyone each week to take orders, and before long, the backyard filled with more than just friends of friends. Strangers we had never even met were showing up, and suddenly, things began to take shape. At the time it was still just a side gig as we had limited time, knowledge, and experience, but people were serious about showing up and asking when the next sell would be.

Things quickly changed in November 2022, when Bergen Magazine featured us in their “6 Spots for the Perfect Bergen Cheeseburger.” That moment expanded our reach, following, and of course, our sales. But we weren't ready for that exposure specially with the little knowledge we had at the time. So, We decided it was time to get serious. We registered our business, found a commissary kitchen that we could operate out of, and began learning the ropes of what it really takes to run a food business. That’s when we took the leap.

What started as backyard cookouts quickly grew into something much bigger. From that first magazine feature to winning the Meadowlands Battle of the Best Burger in 2023, we’ve been hustling every day to grow this dream. Every event, every pop-up, every late-night prep session has been another step forward.

​

Now, whether we’re parked outside a local brewery, catering a private event, or serving at a pop-up, our goal is the same: to make every single bite the best one you’ve ever had. To us, this is more than just a great burger. It’s our family’s dream built on love, risk, and a whole lot of hard work.

We’re still that same couple from the backyard, just with a food truck now. And every time someone takes that first bite and smiles, it feels like we’re right back where we started, doing what we love, together.
